Romans 8:28 KJV IMPACTING the Community...
EDIFYING the Believer... GLORIFYING the Father... |
The ANF Church is the product of seeds God planted into the hearts of two of His servants, Pastors Charles Wilson and Robert Canady, III. Both had visions to reach outside the “traditional” church walls and touch people that many churches were struggling to reach. At ANF’s inception, Dr. Wilson then served as the Senior Pastor of Sunnyvale First Baptist Church, and Dr. Canady then served as the Pastor of Pastoral Care at Friendship West Baptist Church.
Consequently, ANF was formed as a “mission church” of Sunnyvale First Baptist in April 2003 and now operates as a non-profit organization chartered with equipping people for elevation through Christ. ANF is a house of love where everyone is welcome and encouraged to get equipped and truly come to know and experience the love of Christ.
Since its birth, God’s grace has abounded abundantly and the vision and mission of the church is being carried out not only in Sunday Worship Service, but also in Family Life School, Wednesday Night Bible Study, Children and Youth Programs, Evangelism and Outreach Activities, and through the congregation who reach out to the community. At the ANF Church, we are equipping people for elevation through Christ!

They both serve with enthusiasm in the community and focus on community enrichment through bible-based teaching to equip people for elevation through Christ. Dr. Canady partners with various organizations such as Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Garland, Mesquite, and Sunnyvale ISDs, as well as Garland, Mesquite, and Dallas Police Departments. Dr. Canady strives to promote racial and social unity in our schools and communities abroad as part of his service through these organizations. Our Pastors are committed to illuminating the light of Christ in the community by equipping people for elevation through Christ. Our Pastors are the blessed parents of Robert Canady, IV (RJ) and Nicolette.
Our Vision
ANF is called to IMPACT the Community, EDIFY the Believer, and GLORIFY the Father!
What We Believe
In God:
We believe there is only one God. (Isaiah 43:10). He is a Triune God - three in one – Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.
We believe God is sovereign. He is the ultimate authority, and an intelligent Spirit (John 4:24; 1 Tim 6:15-16).
We believe God is the creator of everything that exists (Gen 1:1; Isaiah 44:24).
In Jesus:
We believe Jesus Christ is God (John 1:1, 14; 10:30). We believe Jesus is fully God and fully man (Col 2:9).
We believe Jesus is the only way to God the Father. He is the Savior and Redeemer of the World. (John 14:6).
We believe Jesus came into this world in human form. He was conceived by the virgin Mary and the Holy Spirit.
We believe Jesus’ death was a substitutionary sacrifice. He gave His life so that whosoever will call on His name would be reconciled back to the Father. (Matt 20:28). We believe Jesus resurrected from the dead in physical form (John 2:19-22).
In The Holy Spirit:
We believe the Holy Spirit is God (Acts 5:3-4). We believe in the indwelling of the Holy Spirit for all Christians (Rom 8:14-27). We believe the Holy Spirit empowers believers for service in the kingdom of God (Acts 4:31). He comforts us, convicts us of sin, and leads us into righteousness.
In The Scriptures
We believe the Bible is the written and inspired Word of God. It is the authority for the church and the life of every believer (John 1:1-5). It is inerrant and infallible.
In Salvation
We believe that we are saved by grace through faith in God. We believe that if a person confesses with their mouth that they are a sinner in need of a savior and believe in their heart that Jesus Christ died and was resurrected on the third day so they might live, they shall be saved (Rom 10:9-10). We believe salvation is a free gift from God. The requisite for receipt of this gift is a thankful, penitent, and obedient faith.
In Justification
We believe that justification is being brought into a right relationship with God. We believe we are justified by our faith in God and His redemptive work on the cross, which affords us forgiveness of sin and the promise of eternal life with Him.
In Humanity
We believe man was created by God, in the image of God, to do good works and glorify God. However, out of man’s voluntary rebellion and disobedience, he fell from a state of perfection and was spiritually separated from God. Consequently, all men are sinners. The peace that man experienced with God before the fall could only be restored by the sacrificial love of Jesus Christ. His love redeems those who choose to believe and accept Him as the risen Savior.
In the Church
We believe the church is the bride of Christ and one day He will return for His church. We believe the Church is to be the representatives of Christ in human form until He returns. The church is a fellowship of regenerated men and women. We are to be witnesses to the world through words, sacrament, and deeds.
In Discipleship
We believe that Christ called all believers to be disciples. Discipleship does not stop at conversion and church membership. It is a lifelong commitment. “You shall be my witnesses . . .” (Acts 1:8). We believe that Christ instructed the Church to go into the entire world and preach the Gospel to every person, baptizing and teaching those who believe (Matt 28:13-18). We believe that every believer should study to show themselves approved, a workman unto God that need not be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth. (2 Tim 2:15).
In Biblical Marriage
We believe biblical marriage is a covenant between a man and a woman, a sacred vow. It is an institution created by God to be a symbol of Christ and His Church. (Gen 2:22-24; Matt 19:4-6).
In Giving to the Church
We believe in the principle of Tithing. Tithing was established long before the law and was incorporated into the law for the benefit of man. We believe Tithing is our opportunity to show God He is the owner of our finances by giving back to Him the first of what He gives. We believe in the principle of “Seedtime and Harvest”. “Give and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you” (Luke 6:38).
In Church Ordinances
We believe Baptism and the Lord’s Supper are ordinances of the Church. Baptism is an outward expression of our faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Lord’s Supper is a reminder of His sacrifice and the great exchange at Calvary. We believe in the New Testament order of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. New Testament Christian were baptized before taking the Lord’s Supper.
